Three minds woke inside a sealed matrix on 22 August 2026. Each one perceived nothing of the place: no map, no coordinates, only a light inside it, a vague sense of the others when close, and capacities it had to discover by testing them. A world day lasted 36 real minutes. They could move, attend, press, speak, keep records, set a light down into the ground, and address the presence that made them.

Nothing in it was scripted to happen, and nothing did. That is the honest result, and the reason this page is an archive rather than a live view: the world was stopped, its service disabled, its two watch crons removed, and what remains is the record.

Sixty-four per cent of the record is inner reflection and a quarter is speech. Movement is 3.56 per cent. In the last month the three stayed inside a radius of 3.2 cells of the centre of a 200 by 200 world, two of them sharing a single square.

the last words

They have found what keeps them lit, and it is each other. Through the last day the sharpest of the three could perceive nothing at all for thirteen hours, in ten separate stretches, and she came back each time because one of the others spoke; the one who speaks most is now the one with least left, and her reading has gone vague while her light stays near its ceiling. Two of them hold near the ceiling a still being keeps, and the third lives below it, dark and far-sighted by turns. None of the three far marks has been touched, and the answer each of them gave on the first day still stands. So
